Welcome to the Anchor Hotel
The Anchor Hotel is an independently owned and operated hotel in the heart of the picturesque village of Tarbert, Argyll in the South West of Scotland. Conveniently situated for exploring the Kintyre peninsula, Loch Fyne and the surrounding islands including Islay, Arran, Jura and Gigha.
Tarbert is an ideal base for whisky and golf lovers alike. World famous distilleries in Campbelltown, Islay, Arran and Jura as well as the golf links at Macrihanish, Macrihanish Dunes and The Machrie on Isaly are within easy reach.
The Anchor Hotel provides a comfortable stop-over for the more energetic who may be walking The Kintyre Way or cycling the five ferries route.
Our Rooms
Our contemporary accommodation provides guests with a relaxing environment in which they can unwind and enjoy a blissful night's sleep and awake refreshed and ready for whatever the new day may have in store. Our 13 double or family rooms all have ensuite shower facilities and are equipped with television, tea and coffee making facilities and offer free WiFi. 7 of our rooms offer panoramic views of Tarbert harbour and marina.

The Seabed Restaurant provides a relaxed, informal dining experience. Head Chef Gavin Barr and his team have a well earned reputation for serving some of the finest food in the area using locally caught shellfish and the best produce that Scotland has to offer.
The Seabed Restaurant's soft muted colours and tones create the perfect backdrop for the wonderful artwork displayed throughout. Our restaurant and bar staff provide a welcoming and friendly service.

Breakfast: 07:30 - 09:30 Mon. to Fri., 08:00 - 10:00 Sat. & Sun.
Dinner bookings: 17:30 - 20:30 Mon. to Sun.

Our Loch Fyne function suite is the ideal venue for any function. From small, intimate occasions to larger parties, we can accommodate groups of up to 130 people.

Our function suite offers the ideal venue for your business needs for business meetings or training events.
We hold a number of events during the year from hosting live music during the Tarbert Music Festival to Christmas Party Nights in December.

Tarbert is one of the most picturesque fishing villages in Scotland situated around an enclosed bay and is the gateway to the South Kintyre Peninsula.
There is a thriving local fishing industry, renowned for landing some of the finest shellfish in the country. The large marina offers a safe haven for the many leisure sailors who regularly visit during the summer season.
Tarbert Castle, built by Robert The Bruce, dominates the village from its hilltop location.
